Daniel Cantrell, England The piece is called “History is Still on my Shoulder”. The idea is how my objective of releasing myself from a difficult childhood has failed. My Father was manically depressive and went completely insane so I vowed to never let this interfere with my adult life. Yet, history can not be completely forgotten and it still hangs on my shoulder. I want to be free of these memories, this is my objective, yet I’ve failed. But somehow, I think, maybe it is good I failed as these experiences and memories have made me what I am and I don’t hate myself.
